Since acquiring the iconic Meccano brand from Spin Master in January, Addo Play has been driving full speed ahead with a comprehensive, multimedia relaunch.
With 18 brand-new products now available for pre-order, the past six months have seen major milestones: from securing a distribution partnership with Bandai France, to filming a high-energy TV advert, and launching a refreshed Meccano website designed to inspire a new generation of builders.
We’re proud to be working with Bandai France, one of Europe’s top 10 distributors, to bring Meccano to leading retailers including Leclerc, Smyths, King Jouet, Jouet Club, Amazon.fr, Amazon.de, and Amazon.it.
In April, two members of the Addo Play team travelled to Italy to film our first Meccano TV commercial. Produced in collaboration with Diaframma, the ad showcases the thrilling new 2-in-1 Race Car set.
July marked the launch of the new Meccano website, offering streamlined navigation, engaging video content, and full access to the latest product catalogue. This digital refresh is designed to inspire creativity and spark excitement around the brand’s revival.
We’re incredibly excited to be leading Meccano’s resurgence and look forward to expanding the range with even more innovative building sets.
